The Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarship (MGRS) covers tuition and provides a living stipend for high-achieving international students undertaking a PhD, with priority given to research areas aligned with the university's strategic strengths.

• First-class honours degree or equivalent (roughly 3.6+ CGPA)
• A research proposal aligned with an available supervisor's area
• English proficiency meeting University of Melbourne's PhD entry requirements
• Applicants are assessed alongside their PhD admission application

• Full tuition fee offset for the duration of candidature
• Living allowance stipend, indexed annually
• Relocation grant for students moving from overseas
• Access to university research training and travel funding schemes
